  • “Using traditional knowledge and western science to inform marine management – Experiences from South Central Alaska”

    Guest speakers Anne Salomon and Nick Tanape Sr. will share their stories and experiences of working together in Alaska, examining the decline in black leather chiton (Katharina tunicata) populations. Nick Tanape Sr., a Sugpiaq Elder, will be traveling from Nanwalek, Alaska, for what is sure to be an interesting and informative evening.

    Thursday, February 28th - 7:30pm, Haida Heritage Centre, Skidegate

    Friday, February 29th - 7:30pm, Delkatla Nature Centre, Massett

    There is no charge to attend either presentation. Door prizes will be gifted.
